Unsuck My Bio

Jacq Fisch Artist Bio

Every time a vendor or stockist asks for your bio, you cringe. The bio on your website and across your social media—minimalist, though not by choice.

You stealthy check out other artist profiles in your network, hoping they won’t notice, then steal parts of their profile, write it in your own words, and then try to piece it all together.

You know it’s an important part of your branding strategy and will help you sell more art but writing about yourself is hard. Besides, you’ve got stuff to make.

While your artist bio sits there half-complete, you’re missing out on opportunities and new connections every day.

Your bio could tell the whole story about how amazing you are, highlight the best of your creativity, and turn curious art shoppers into raving fans.

Your artist bio will stand out in that big tradeshow or your gallery opening. Your profile will speak directly to potential boutiques, stockists, or art lovers. You’ll make a great first impression, and you’ll be excited to show it off.

You can’t put it off any longer because you need to make the most of this opportunity.

Art shoppers can easily fall in love with you once they feel connected to you, and your story.

Let’s write your story.

I’m a copywriter for artists and makers who hate writing about themselves. I take the burden of creating a compelling bio off your already full plate and write an engaging profile that speaks directly to your potential stockists and buyers.

Let’s take your vanilla artist profile and turn it into your most powerful online career tool.

With an unsucked bio:

  • Your website about page and professional bio will feature what makes you unique

  • You’ll combine poetic mystery with plain English, so people will get you

  • You could get a better vendor spot at the next art market, more foot traffic, and sell more art

  • Your inbox will be full of potential connections—fans of your art looking for commissions imagine the possibilities!

Finally! The next time a boutique or stockist asks for your bio on an application, you can send it over proudly!

unsuck your bio includes:

  • Getting inside your right brain. You’ll answer some questions in an online form. This will give you super helpful insights as you zone in on your professional voice and position yourself to build your online presence. You’ll probably learn a few things about yourself too.

  • A friendly internet-stalking. In a totally non-creepy way. With all the links and information you provide me, I’ll creep on all your (public) online profiles.

  • A to-the-point clear statement about who you are and who you serve. Because when you get clear and use your customer’s language, they’ll understand you.

  • A head-turning creative headline that does its job. Sucks people into reading your bio and looking for reasons to work with you.

  • An About Page for your website that tells your story. People buy from people. When you can spark a connection with your audience, they’re more likely to buy from you.

  • Short bios for all the places a few punchy words will do. For your social media accounts and to have ready to go for the art fair you’re dying to get into.

  • Standing out in a sea of tortured artists. An artist bio that makes you stand apart from the sea of jargon-filled sameness by highlighting the unique contribution that only you could provide.

  • We’ll do this in record time. When we focus our writing efforts, you get a steal-worthy profile, and can start fielding all the new inquiries you’ll get in just one day.

You were afraid to show up and engage online before, but not anymore!

Step 1. Click here to answer some questions and schedule a time to chat. We’ll hop on the phone, and we’ll chat about your creative work and professional goals. Next, you’ll get an agreement to sign along with instructions for your deposit to reserve your spot. The rest of your payment is due the day before your scheduled profile delivery day.

Step 2: On your scheduled start day, you’ll put your feet up, grab a coffee with an extra shot, or maybe even just go to work while I write your bio. You’ll pop open your shiny new words for your creative profile after lunch and tell me what you like and what you want to change. By the time you go to bed that night, your edits will be done. You’ll take a fresh peek in the morning, and I’ll make one additional round of edits by the end of the day.

Step 3. You publish your totally done-for-you, jargon-free profile, sit back and revel in your professional creativeness. More coffee.
